Made up of hundreds of islands, the Gulf Islands are one of the most popular visitor destinations in British Columbia, Canada. There are 13 major islands and about 450 smaller islands in the Georgia Strait. The Southern Gulf Islands are located off the West Coast of Canada, in the Strait of Georgia between southern Vancouver Island and the British Columbia mainland. The Gulf Islands include: Sonora Island, Gabriola Island, Quadra Island, Thetis Island, Cortes Island, Salt Spring Island, Hornby Island, Galiano Island, Mayne Island, Pender Islands and Saturna Island.
